Format

Tournament information

1. Tournament Format: The Arena tournament runs for a set duration, allowing players to play continuously and accumulate points. The player with the highest score at the end wins. Ongoing games when the countdown ends do not impact final standings.

2. Scoring System: Points are awarded as follows: 2 for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. Winning streaks award double points (4 for a win, 2 for a draw) after two consecutive wins. Draws within the first 10 moves receive no points.

3. Pairing and Match Procedures: Players are initially paired based on ratings. Subsequent pairings occur with players of similar ratings who are ready to play, minimizing wait times.

4. Special Features: Berserk Mode allows players to halve their clock time for an extra point upon winning, provided they make at least 7 moves. This mode is not available for games with zero initial time.

5. Prizes and Awards: The top 20 players will be rewarded as follows:

• 1st place: $200
• 2nd place: $100
• 3rd place: $50
• 4th place: $25
• 5th place: $25
• 6th-20th: Discord Nitro

Additional prizes include:

• Top Untitled Player: Chessmood 1 month
• Top U2400: Chessmood 1 month
• Top U2000: Chessmood 1 month
• Top U1600: Nitro

A random draw for players who complete the entire tournament offers $50 and Discord Nitro x3.

Prizes are distributed through PayPal, Venmo, and Cash App. Winners should DM Moonwarrior1 on Discord at discord.gg/moonclub after their win.

6. Conduct and Fair Play: Players must adhere to Lichess's fair play rules. Violations, including cheating, result in disqualification and possible bans. Decisions by tournament organizers are final.
